everyone who says lesbian is a Modern Word so you cant apply it to women in history is a fucking idiot. there have been women who only love women as long as humans have lived. human lives arent limited to what words exist to describe them

Also the ancient Greeks had their own ways to refer to women who exclusively love women before the word came about, so it’s not like they didn’t have a concept of what we now call lesbianism. Asclepiades of Samos refers to lesbians as women who reject Aphrodite’s rules in one of his short poems.

Also by this logic, dinosaurs didn’t exist 66 million years ago because there wasn’t an English word for them yet
