Seen a lot of folks catching over 500 pokemon and just wanted to share some info with you all so you don’t waste many pokeballs, unless you wanna go for them candies ❤ in which I apologize, by all means grind them candies out you absolute boss you!!

Shiny odds max out at 341.3 after 31 catches of any pokemon, the odds will affect all pokemon not just the chained one, the chained pokemon however will have better ivs and show up more often. (so it’s best to chain the shiny you want if you want a really good iv one)

A lure will make the maxed odds to be 315.08

And the shiny charm will lower it even lower! to about 1 in 292.57 and with a lure 273.07

Rare spawns like charmander, bulbasaur, and squirtle will only spawn once! it is best to encounter them and run to reset their spawn. At a 31 combo of anything they’ll pop up pretty much all the time after you run from one.

For IVS! a chain of 31+ will guarantee about 4 perfect ivs! It fluctuates and you can get more as you chain, but it usually always guarantees 4 perfects!

The alolan trades, and all gift pokemon obtained have a chance to be shiny! they are full odds of 1 in 4,096! Save and reset for the gift mons if you want em! and Get ready to trade a bunch of mons for a shiny alolan form! I am unsure at the time if this can be affected by the shiny charm but I do believe so! Pikachu/Eevee at the beginning of the game is shiny locked however!

All legendaries are not shiny locked! Have fun getting a shiny mewtwo, or moltres! 😀 (Totally recommend keeping your masterball for mewtwo, it’s great!)
