princess-of-anons:

PMD is significantly funnier when you look at the game-canon heights of Pokémon, especially since the anime takes so many liberties when giving actual heights to pokemon.

I’m gonna use the Explorers game bc they’re the most popular ones and the character dynamics look really strange when height is taken into account.

You, a human, probably 10 years old, are somewhere around 4 to 5ft tall when you go to the past, and then you wake up either somewhere between 1’04” or 2’04” depending on what pokemon you become.

Your partner before you jump through is a Grovyle. He’s like, what? 4’01” or closer to your own height? No he’s 2’11”. You could easily pick him up when you were human, now he could potentially pick you if you’re something small like a Mudkip.

What about that cute shiny Celebi that your pretty sure is hooking up with Grovyle?

She’s 2 feet tall. You thought she was 1 foot tall and could be held by Grovyle as well? No she’s 2 feet tall.

Okay. What about Dusknoir? He’s probably shorter than you thought too, right? He’s probably not even as tall as an average human guy, right? Right???

Nope! He’s 7’03”! He’s tall.

Also Guildmaster Wigglytuff is 3’03”. Grovyle is, like, a baby compared to the Guildmaster. Fear him. Fear Guildmaster Wigglytuff.
