See this is a great thing. My current DM has established a 7-11 style chain of convenience stores (with slushiest) and hotels that have loyalty Punch cards. It’s so fun
THIS IS WHAT D&D WAS MADE FOR BABEY!!!!
Damn straight. When I start new kids in my Pathfinder game, I ask them “What have you always wanted to be?” Sometimes the answer is something easy like a wizard or a huge orc. Sometimes, it’s something like “I want to be an intelligent whale who goes on adventures and uses magic.” And I say, “I’ll make it work.”
I did write that build, too. It was for a coworker. And this, land whales became a thing in my games.
I pride myself in finding ways to recreate characters in Pathfinder. I wrote a Yondu character, complete with yaka arrow (but nerfed for game balance). Trevor Philips is a long-running NPC in my teen game.
I always say “You can try,” when my players ask me “can I do this?” Because the world is weird and you never know what’s going to happen.
